Default A few questions regarding Nightfall

Good Morning,

I have a few general questions about nightfall.

1. Do Heroes transfer between all characters on the same account? If not how does my Monk in Prophecies get to Nightfall and get the Hero's?

2. Are all the spells I unlock with my various characters automatically available for my Heroes? I think the answer is yes, but here is why I'm asking.

My brother plays a W/N and I play a Mo/R. When I attained the first two heroes (koss and dunkoro) on my new D/N all of the warrior spells that he had unlocked were there and so were all of my monk spells (including elites). So when I unlock Olias, will all the Nec spells be there from my D/N and my brothers W/N? I assume so, but I just want to make sure

3. Besides the reasoning mentioned above, are their any other ways for acquiring hero skills BESIDES losing a skill point and paying 1k?

4. Should I save Battle Commendations for later in the game for some specific item or should I use them now? I know they get you some basics from the quartermasters, but I'm just curious if I should save up for later.

5. After I obtain the two 15-attribute quests in Nightfall, can I still do the prophecy missions to get the extra 30 points that are offered in that campaign from the S. Shiverpeaks and the Desert quests?

6. Last question, this pertains to Factions actually. Does anyone know where the cheapest place to buy factions is? I went to Game Stop last night to get it and they were out of stack. They did tell me it was about $40 - I got Nightfall instead for $20. So does anyone know a good place online/offline to get a good deal on factions? Also, if anyone has a buddy-key for factions that they're aren't planning on using, would they mind giving it to me (hehe - I'd be very grateful - $40.00 is a lot of money for an expansion, so I guess now that I have nightfall I'd just want to test out Factions and see if it's worth the money).

Thanks in advance for the help/advice

1. No. And there is a quest to get to Elona from Lion's Arch.
2. Yes. But Characters do not get skills just because Heros have them.
3. Hero skill points for advancing on Sunspear track.
4. Errr....use them if needed I guess.
5. No.
6. No idea. Stores vary locally, I think.

Thanks for the response.

One more question, I received an Buddy-Key and an Epic Key with NF. I assume the Buddy-Key is a trial I can hand out, but what is the Epic Key?

1. Talk to Lionguard Figo in LA to get to Elona, other part was answered already

2. Answered

3. The problem was there was only so many Hero Skill points..so they put in a way to earn more easier/more often

4. use them or sell em up to you

5. Answered

6. Just have to look around. I seen it at my walmart for 29.99 but not sure about other places. I would concentrate on GW:NF until you are done with it or until you can't live without Factions....the pve is rather short but there are some awesome skills there.

Thanks for giving me the specifics on how to get to Elona with my Monk.

Two more questions.

1. To get the heroes with my monk, do I have to go through the basic quests as I did with my Dervish?

2. What does my Elite Key open up? Is it for me, or for my friends?

Here's why I keep brining up factions. I really wanted to make an Assassin. I know they are very tough to play but they look like a lot of fun. I fought a really good one in an Arena Battle a few days ago. I was standing way back healing my team and out of nowhere the assassin teleports to me knocks me down, and hexes me. During the rematch, he got me from behind with similar tactics.

I usually buy everything online off of E-Bay/Amazon/Tiger Direct but my sister gets a 30-40% discount at Barnes & Noble and Game Stop (Only in the store, not online). That's how I got NF for $20.00 and Prophecies for $24.00.

I am hoping the Elite Key unlocks any campaign for 10 hours/14 days that I haven't used yet lol - Just want to whet my appetite.

Thanks again for the help.

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Mission...28Nightfall%29

Read the note about characters from other chapters...

The epic key (i think) is a 10hr/14 day trial key for all chapters.

EDIT:

Note for foreign characters: Characters created in other campaigns will join the plot before the fourth mission, Consulate Docks, with the alternate primary quest chain noted below. In order to earn the Protector/Guardian of Elona titles, however, foreign characters will need to go back and complete the first three missions.

Istan
Rally the Recruits (Tutorial) or Take the Shortcut (Skip Tutorial) → Into Chahbek Village
1. Chahbek Village
Honing your Skills → Secondary Training → Choose Your Secondary Profession → Leaving a Legacy → The Honorable General → Signs and Portents
2. Jokanur Diggings
Isle of the Dead → Bad Tide Rising → Special Delivery → Big News, Small Package → Following the Trail
3. Blacktide Den
The Iron Truth → Trial by Fire → War Preparations (Ghost Reconnaissance), War Preparations (Recruit Training) and War Preparations (Wind and Water) → The Time is Nigh

Characters from other campaigns will begin here and follow this quest chain:
Battle Preparations → Securing Champion's Dawn → A Land of Heroes → The Time is Nigh

Then continue the story after getting hero's

4. Consulate Docks

Heh, I'm at work so a few website are blocked - like the one mentioned above.

Anyway, I tore myself away from my work for a sec and quickly found out that the epic key will give me access to factions for 10 hours/14 days - so thanks for answering that

Have a great day!

Why would GuildWiki be blocked, but not Guru?

Probably because one has "game" in the URL, and the other doesn't :P Specific words are usually used for blocking various sites, as idiotic as it seems
